Fitness Testing

It's a great way to keep a record of your improvements and ability.

It can also help you understand how healthy you are and set goals to improve your fitness.

Types of fitness:

  1. Health-related fitness includes aerobic capacity, muscular endurance, muscular strength, flexibility, and body composition.

  2. Skill-related fitness refers to abilities such as speed, reaction time, agility, balance, coordination, and power.

Reasons to fitness test:

  1. Starting point — The initial fitness test gives you an idea of where your fitness levels are.

  2. Knowing your limits — You can determine your strengths, weaknesses, and limits.

  3. Program design— When we know the starting point we can build on that and improve.

  4. Keeping tabs — Comparing fitness tests can be used to monitor your changes in fitness. It usually takes a minimum of 2-6 weeks to see a noticeable change.

  5. Setting goals — Set your goals and make them realistic, y repeating testing your can accurately adjust your goal timeline.

  6. Motivation — This gives you motivation, to compare and see the progress you have made and the goal coming closer.

Attached is a small test you can do on your own at home. This is an aid to help you understand your own body better and effectively judge your fitness.

There are many more tests you can do. All we want is a starting point to effectively make realistic fitness goals.
